Hi everyone!
Thanks for stopping by. This is something new for me. I don't like to talk about my weight-loss journey- it scares me, makes me nervous, makes me think people are judging me. But, I decided that since I'm changing so much in my life, I need to change the way I think too.
This blog is about me. It's about a transformation that I'm working on. I have made several attempts in the past, but I have a feeling- deep in my bones that this is the time it's going to stick. I'm not gonna lie- I need help. Not physically, but mentally. Moral support goes a long way- it can drag you out of your funk when you're having a bad day/ when you are scared/ when you think you won't be able to do something. I have the best friends a girl could ask for. They are the bee's knees. But sometimes, I need a little more than my favorite girls- I need to be accountable for myself, so I'm hoping by making this blog- you'll all make me accountable!
This is going to take awhile- it's going to be tough. I'm so nervous, but also very excited for what's to come. I'll be posting once a week (min), with my struggles & accomplishments, etc. If you feel so inclined, please leave me any advice you have! I love hearing new ideas & ways to change!
As for my current plan:
I started CrossFit on January 7th. It was one of the scariest days of life- walking into that gym. Luckily, I had one of my best girls with me! Once I started, I got hooked. The sense of community is just great at a CF gym- if you haven't experienced it- you should! I am terrified every time I walk in there, but once I leave, I have a great sense of accomplishment (and extreme physical pain haha). Google search CrossFit and you'll see what it is. It's the most intense physical activity I've ever done in my entire life. There is nothing like it & once a person starts CF, it's all the ever talk about- so get used to it! :)
After about 2 weeks of beginners' CF classes, I joined the big leagues. Trust me, I am no where near where the people in some of my classes are! They are amazing. I aspire to be like them one day! It's gonna be hard, but I'll get there! I know it! During the 3rd week of CF, my box started a "Paleo Challenge." For those of you who haven't heard of it, the Paleo lifestyle is the caveman's diet- basically- meats, veggies, nuts, seeds, some fruit, little starch (only from fruits and veggies), no dairy, no sugar. It's intense. It's hard- and it takes a lot of effort to live this way. Our challenge is only for 45 days, but I think it's something that I will continue well past the challenge deadline. I'll be posting more on Paleo & CF later, but this is just an introduction to me and what I'm working on, and how you can help!
I appreciate each and every one of you. This has been my life's struggle, and knowing that I have you all in my corner means so much to me- more than you know! :)
